Meet the Principal
It is my honor to serve the McCollam Elementary School community. It has been my privilege to be part of a community focused on ensuring excellence for all our students: emotionally, socially and academically. We are very proud of the students at McCollam and their accomplishments to date. We have consistently been a high performing school in the district. As we continue to ensure our students are academically proficient in identified content areas, we will also be developing the following key skills in our students: effectively communicating both orally and in written form; being innovative and creative; critical-thinking and analytical-reasoning; applying knowledge and skills to real-world settings; and, working collaboratively with others. We are committed to providing a 21st Century learning environment for all our students, as we ensure that best practices, strategies, and approaches are being used to bring about an optimal learning environment for every student.
At McCollam, we understand the importance of fostering strong relationships between staff, parents, students and community. Throughout the year, you are invited to participate in various activities: Math/Literacy workshops, School Committees, Science Fair, Movie Nights, Parent Coffees, etc. We encourage your participation for we believe that you will find these events of benefit to you and your child, while strengthening the educational program that we provide for our students and solidifying the bond between the home and school.
